What can I back up here?
There are two options: a Proxmox Backup Server datastore, which a Proxmox host can target directly for its virtual machines, and a custom backup solution for anything that is not Proxmox, such as game server files, databases or website data.
How much storage and bandwidth is included?
250 GB of storage on a 1 Gbps connection on both options.
Why keep backups off the server they came from?
A backup stored on the same machine is lost with that machine. Keeping a copy on separate storage means a failed disk, a bad update or a deleted volume does not take the backup with it.
Does this work with a server hosted somewhere else?
Yes. The storage is reachable over the network, so the server being backed up does not have to be hosted with ESAGAMES.
