Everything your All the Mods 10 server needs

ATM10 is one of the heaviest packs you can host: close to 500 mods, NeoForge on 1.21.1, and a quest-driven endgame that keeps machines running for weeks.

All the Mods 10 is the ATM team's kitchen-sink pack for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. The current release, 8.1, bundles around 500 mods — Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2, Create, Ars Nouveau, Apotheosis, Occultism, Twilight Forest and the pack's own Allthemodium — tied together with FTB Quests and a proper endgame.

Minecraft 1.21 requires Java 21, and the official server files check for it: the start script stops if it finds an older Java. On first run it installs NeoForge by itself, and memory is set in user_jvm_args.txt, which ships with -Xms4G -Xmx8G.

The load comes from breadth. Hundreds of mods add blocks, entities and world generation, and a mid-game base usually has several tech mods running side by side. The ATM FAQ puts the sweet spot at 8 GB and warns against going above 12 GB, because a larger heap only makes garbage collection pauses longer.

We run ATM10 on high-clock CPUs with NVMe SSDs in Frankfurt, behind multi-Tbps Anti-DDoS, with 24/7 in-house support.

  • Java 21 and NeoForge

ATM10 targets Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge 21.1, and its start script refuses to run on anything older than Java 21. Servers are set up on the right runtime from the start.

  • 8 to 12 GB, not more

The ATM guide recommends 8 GB and no more than 12 GB. Plans scale inside that range, and the heap is set in user_jvm_args.txt.

  • Crash restarts built in

The official start script restarts the server after a crash; set ATM10_RESTART=false if you would rather manage restarts from the panel.

  • Plan your pregen

The server files do not include Chunky, and chunk-generation freezes have been reported on dedicated ATM10 servers — add a pregenerator and run it before launch.

  • Space for a 1 GB server pack

ServerFiles-8.1 is over a gigabyte before a world exists. NVMe storage keeps installs, updates and world saves fast.

  • Always-on protection

Multi-Tbps filtering in Frankfurt keeps a long-running ATM10 world reachable for your whole group.

How to make a All the Mods 10 server

From zero to online in four steps — no technical experience required.

  1. Start at 8 GB

Choose 8 GB for a small group and move to 10 or 12 GB as bases and players multiply.

  2. Install ATM10 or upload ServerFiles

Use the one-click installer, or upload ServerFiles-8.1.zip from the pack's Additional Files and run startserver.sh once to install NeoForge.

  3. Accept the EULA and set memory

Set eula=true, then adjust -Xmx in user_jvm_args.txt so it matches your plan.

  4. Pregenerate and invite

Add a pregenerator, generate the area around spawn, then have everyone install ATM10 8.1 from CurseForge.

How our protection works

All the Mods 10 hosting questions, answered

How much RAM does an All the Mods 10 server need?

The ATM team recommends 8 GB and advises against going above 12 GB. In practice 8 GB suits two to four players, 10 GB a server of five to ten with busy bases, and 12 GB a larger community. Past 12 GB, faster CPU time helps more than extra memory.

Which Minecraft and Java version does ATM10 use?

ATM10 runs Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge (21.1.249 in release 8.1) and needs Java 21. The official start script exits if it finds an older Java.

Why does ATM10 need so much RAM?

Release 8.1 loads around 500 mods, each adding blocks, entities, recipes and world generation, and mid-game bases run several tech mods at once. The server files already default to an 8 GB maximum for that reason.

Does the ATM10 server pack include Chunky?

No. The official server files do not ship a pregenerator, so add one yourself if you want to generate terrain before players arrive — freezes during chunk generation have been reported on dedicated ATM10 servers.

How many players can an ATM10 server hold?

Five to ten players are comfortable on 10 GB with a fast CPU. Automation weighs as much as headcount: one player with a huge Mekanism setup can cost more than three players exploring.

Do you install ATM10 for me?

Yes — All the Mods 10 is a one-click install from the panel with NeoForge and Java 21 set up. You can also upload the official ServerFiles zip for a specific release.

Do players need ATM10 installed?

Yes, the same release as the server (for example 8.1). Install it through the CurseForge app and update the server and players together.

How much does All the Mods 10 server hosting cost?

A All the Mods 10 server runs on our Minecraft plans, which start from €13.00 per month with one-click modpack install and Anti-DDoS included. Bigger packs and more players need more RAM, so choose the plan to match.
