Everything your StoneBlock 3 server needs
StoneBlock 3 is a world made of stone that you carve into a base. The server side is simple, with one known lag trap.
FTB StoneBlock 3 is Feed The Beast's underground pack for Minecraft 1.18.2 on Forge, released in November 2022 and now on version 1.11.6. You begin inside a world surrounded by stone and dig out a kingdom, with biomes generated in rings around your base, the Nether and the End a short trip away, custom structures, bosses, reworked resource generation and guided quests.
FTB lists Java 17 with 4 GB minimum and 6 GB recommended memory. The server is installed with FTB's own server installer, which sets up Forge, the pack and a Java runtime and creates run.sh and run.bat; memory is changed with -Xmx and -Xms in those scripts.
One lag source is documented on FTB's issue tracker: Ars Nouveau setups kept in force-loaded chunks with nobody nearby were reported to build up lag over 30 to 60 minutes. If TPS drifts down on a long-running server, check chunk-loaded magic setups before adding RAM.
StoneBlock 3 servers here run on high-clock CPUs and NVMe SSDs in Frankfurt, behind multi-Tbps Anti-DDoS, with 24/7 in-house support.

How our protection worksStoneBlock 3 hosting questions, answered
How much RAM does a StoneBlock 3 server need?
FTB lists 4 GB minimum and 6 GB recommended. Give a server 6 GB for two to four players, 8 GB for five to eight with automation, and 10 GB or more for larger groups.
Which Minecraft and Java version does StoneBlock 3 use?
FTB StoneBlock 3 runs Minecraft 1.18.2 on Forge and needs Java 17. Version 1.11.6 is current.
Why does my StoneBlock 3 server get slower over time?
One known cause reported to FTB is Ars Nouveau setups in force-loaded chunks with no player nearby, which built up lag over 30 to 60 minutes. Check chunk-loaded setups and restart on a schedule.
Should I host StoneBlock 3 or StoneBlock 4?
StoneBlock 4 is FTB's newer pack on NeoForge 1.21.1 with Java 21 and 8 GB recommended. StoneBlock 3 stays on Forge 1.18.2 and is lighter at 6 GB recommended. They are separate worlds.
How many players can a StoneBlock 3 server hold?
Five to eight players run comfortably on 8 GB. Chunk-loaded machines matter as much as the number of people online.
