Create: Above and Beyond (CABIN) is simibubi's official challenge pack for the Create mod, on Minecraft 1.16.5 and Forge. Instead of letting you craft everything at a table, it pushes you through chains of mechanical processing — from andesite machines to a coin-based trade economy and, at the end, a spaceship. Version 1.3 from December 2021 is the final release.

The pack wiki lists Java 8 for the server. The official Above and Beyond-1.3-Server.zip is installed by running the bundled Forge installer and starting the Forge 1.16.5 jar; the wiki's example launch line uses -Xmx8G -Xms8G with G1 garbage collection.

What makes CABIN demanding is motion, not mod count. Create contraptions — trains of belts, mechanical presses, rotating assemblies — are simulated every tick on the main server thread, so a large factory shows up as CPU time long before it shows up as RAM. Version 1.3 also swapped ChickenChunks for ChunkNoGoByeBye and removed a surface structure that crashed servers.
